Stallion 6 though an upgrade/update of Talian 5 I pretty much rewrote a lot of the coding, so though Stallion 6 looks like Talian 5 it’s basically a new WordPress theme (I could make Stallion 6 look like almost any WordPress theme), so it’s not really an upgrade/update per se.

Yes all Talian 3, 4 and 5 customers are entitled to a free Stallion 6 upgrade, counting on you all to promote Stallion via Clickbank when the affiliate program (50% revenue share) goes live in a few days time
Had a problem sending the update email to all Talian customers, still have around 500 email addresses to send to. For future updates I’ll be using an Aweber mailing list that can be joined via the form on the top right sidebar. I won’t be using standard email for updates, so to be informed of updates you need to join the list.
Anyway, I’ve sent you the email, so you should have it now. Also put your email address into the ID Reminder form, so you should have your ID by email as well.

Free Stallion 6 SEO Ad Theme Upgrade Offer Ended March 2011
The free Talian to Stallion 6 upgrade was available to Talian customer who ordered before March 2011. Was a way to get the new Stallion 6 theme tested before it’s full release, after Stallion 6 was released the free offer was over to new Talian 5 customers.
Based on your email address you ordered a few weeks back (May), so the offer was over for a couple of months before you ordered.
For others who ordered before March 2011 your email address is in the Stallion 6 database, join the Stallion Theme Mailing list (see the sidebar), check out the mailing list archives for the latest Stallion 6 download and add your Talian order email address to the Stallion ID Reminder form to receive your Stallion ID.

I’ve had to reinstall two dedicated servers (I’m on my third dedicated server in under a week!!!). I’m in the process of restoring domains and while each one installs from backup it’s causing the server to run slow so you might find the pages load slowly or time out, but they are online.
I’ll be moving my business to another company, have not been impressed this last week or so. My sites have been down around 3 days out of 5! This new server is running with CPU load averages of around 10 which means there’s 10 processes waiting to use 100% of the CPU almost all the time and that’s not good.
The Stallion site is hosted on Godaddy now so is unaffected.
Still waiting on Clickbank to approve Stallion, because of the dedicated server problems it’s caused delays. They tried to approve on Friday, but I’d move this site to Godaddy less than 24 hours earlier and looks like the nameserver change hadn’t propagated (can take 48 hrs to go world wide) to the Clickbank employee checking the ordering system.
Hope to get Stallion for sale on Clickbank tomorrow (next working day for Clickbank), so anyone wanting Talian with a Stallion upgrade doesn’t have much time. If you do order Talian don’t expect an immediate copy of Stallion, I have to import the order details into the Stallion database manually and that takes time (trying to get the details in within 24 hours of an order, but I’m swamped).

I have just purchased the Talian 5 from the Talian 5 webpage and I have got an email of my purchase, but the download link of zip file of Talian 5 is not working for this moment which I have tried it continually. Maybe it was caused by the trouble of your new Godaddy server since you did the server change as you said.
Therefore I ask you to send me the zip file of Talian 5 download with all its information ASAP. And also I ask you to send me a download link of FREE UPGRADE to Stallion ASAP as you promised it to me in email.

Talian 5 has been sent
Check your email for the Talian zip file, Stallion upgrade information will follow within 24 hours. Didn’t need three emails and two comments to let me know the download had failed, one email or comment using the email address used to order is enough proof you made an order.
Don’t forget to join the mailing list on the side of the site, using it for informing customers of updates.
Checked your download link and it works, so will be the server issues. There’s a 3 minute cut off point for each access to the download page, so if a page was taking forever to load (server problems) and you left it a few minutes the link would fail (part of the order system, not sure how it works as didn’t create it, bought it).
BTW never post your transaction ID online (I deleted the comment with it in), it’s your Stallion ID used for full activation. When I import your data across to the Stallion database I’ll change it.

Thanks & Waiting for Stallion zip file for my ID

Ok, I have received the zip file of Talian through my email as well. I have successfully installed the zip file of Talian through my blog by using the theme installation way on my blog admin area but I didn’t run it while I am still repeating to read all the readme files first to avoid any mistake later which really I had ever read all articles/information of Talian since January but of course some of them I forgot to remember the important ones about plugins or another so I have to repeat reading it again now before I running the Theme for my blogs.
Before all I tried to upload the unzip file of Talian via ftp filezilla and it was successfully uploaded, but it seemed there was a little problem when I tried to preview the theme through the admin area of my blog as it was might caused by the multisite of my blog despite I have enabled the theme for all sites through the network admin area. This was the reason I have to install the Talian theme directly through the admin area of my blog (Appearance – Theme – Install) and it was successfully installed and also I have tried to preview it without problem.
I have joined with the mailing list since I sent the first ticket to you about my intention to purchase the Talian 5.
As for Stallion Free Upgrade, I will be waiting for you to send me the download link or a zip file directly to my email address when you are ready and have finished a bug fix. Please do not forget to import my Stallion ID so that I can get it free and activate it.

I’m a Talian 05 owner and have never received any information about your new upgrade to Stallion 06. Also I’ve signed up to be notified by you for your new Stallion 06 product. Apparently you are having problems with your servers, so could you please advise as to how you’d like this handled.

On my Third Dedicated Server This Week
The Stallion site is on Godaddy hosting for the past 36 hours so is unaffected by the dedicated server problems now. All my other sites are on a dedicated server and though they are running the new dedicated server (2nd new one) is not performing as expected (running slow).
I’ve added a new page to this site (see link in the top navigation menu) for Talian support if you can’t get the old site to load. I reinstated a site earlier on the server and it took 2 hours to install and brought the server almost to a stand still!!
I think I tracked your order email down (not the one you used for the comment), have resent the Stallion info to that email address (it’s a Bellsouth email address). There should be a Stallion update ready tomorrow (fixing a few issues) and when ready will be sending out a notification via the mailing list (not used the mailing list yet) and this sites home page.

1/ If possible could you please tell me how to remove the Google 468×15 text ad from the top of the banner area without turning Google ads off all together. Is this possible on a per page basis?
2/ Could you please tell me how to remove the Google 336px × 280px sized 4 block txt ad from a page and the google 336p x 280px image ad without turning google ads off all together. Is this possible on a per page basis.

Turning Individual Ads Off in Talian 5
To turn ads off in Talian 5 you edit the adsense.php file.
There’s instructions within it near the bottom about what to change to turn each AdSense ad of individually and a text file about it in the readme folder sent with the theme.
If you upgrade to Stallion 6 these settings are within the options pages (tick boxes).

My Talian theme stopped working. No images are showing up. It just stopped working when I upgraded wordpress. Could you tell me if the most recent wordpress upgrade is affecting the theme?
I have also uploaded the stallion theme? Do I upload it as a new theme or is it an upgrade for talian theme?

Talian 5 Works in WordPress 3.1
You’ve probably got a plugin that needs updating that’s broken your site as Talian 5 showed no issues with any version of WordPress 3.* (tested on them all including alpha, beta and release candidates of WordPress 3.1) same for Stallion.
Interesting WordPress appear to be already working on WordPress 3.2, have the nightly bleeding edge builds and it’s called 3.2 (Talian and Stallion work on it fine).
I would check if any of the plugins you are using are causing an error in WordPress 3.1. If you think it’s Talian 5 to blame you can delete the Talian 5 folder and as long as TwentyTen is available that will activate. If it’s still broken it’s not Talian 5. Use the same deleting plugins concept to test your plugins, unfortunately unless you can track it down via a Google search or two it’s guessing which plugin might be to blame.
Although Stallion is based on Talian, it’s a new theme and is installed separately. So it’s not a direct upgrade, you need to input settings from scratch for Stallion. You’ll understand why when you install it, there’s 9 pages of options (almost 200 options) would have been really difficult to import the Talian settings, especially as I rewrote pretty much every variable and function so they’d not clash with any plugins.

WordPress SEO Post Teaser Plugin
Just to confirm we are talking broken (no text, no images, nothing showing at all) here and not just changed?
After reading again you might be referring to the excerpt feature of both Talian and Stallion. To prevent duplicate content issues archive pages like the home page only show a short excerpt of the page.
If you use the Post Teaser plugin: free download from WordPress SEO Plugins you can change the default Talian/Stallion behaviour of the archive pages.

is it easy to upgrade the talian 5 to stallion
hi,
I purchased both talian 5 ( in 2010) and stallion. I haven’t tested out the stallion yet since I bought it last month. I would like to upgrade some of my sites from talian 5 to stallion. Is there any specific instructions I need to follow? Or I just change the theme in the wp admin and that’s it? I hope there is more detail instruction about the conversion. Such as the banner images in talian will still shows up on stallion?

Stallion 6 is a new WordPress Theme so not Really an Update
Although Stallion 6 is based on Talian 5 it’s a new theme with most of the code rewritten so it’s not actually an update of Talian 5.
When you install Stallion 6 it doesn’t use anything from the Talian 5 installation (no settings are imported), you can have Talian 5 and Stallion 6 setup at the same time (one activated one not) and theoretically switch between them : the widgets may mess up mind you if you did that as some have the same names.
So install Stallion 6 like you would any new WordPress theme.
Some of the Talian 5 banners are not included in Stallion 6, there are more banners in Stallion 6, but not always the same ones.
You can copy banners from Talian 5 to Stallion 6 easily, put which ever sets missing that you use into the custom folders (there’s 5 of them) built into Stallion 6. See Stallion Theme Colours, Banners and Header Image Options for instructions.

You sure the emails from me (I deal with all Talian 5 and Stallion 6 support) since I’d only advise not using the Massive Passive Profits plugin on sites you can’t afford to have banned by Google? In my experience all sites running autoblog plugins are downgraded in Google long term, it’s a risk you take when you autoblog, so if you have a popular site it’s a big risk autoblogging.
Stallion 6 works like any other WordPress theme regarding plugins, you install them either via FTP or the built in plugin installer. If you can’t install plugins generally it’s highly unlikely to be a theme at fault.

Hi, I had deleted the email it was referring to my post yesterday,
maybe it was not you, but your insight on the theme is appreciated.
What I did was installed the theme not through the normal plug in
upload I think if I got it right I tried to follow the instruction given and ended up going to the stallion theme panel to the left under appearance and clicking the stallion icon and it appeared and replaced my old theme.
If that not the correct way then I will have to do everything over
which might take me half the day, unless you know of a more safer way?

WordPress Themes and WordPress Plugins Confusion
The Stallion SEO Theme is a WordPress theme, not a WordPress plugin so you must have installed it into the themes folder as it wouldn’t work otherwise (your site looks fine).
WordPress has two ways to change what WordPress does, generally speaking a theme which is mostly presentation and plugins that can change/add features to core WordPress. There is some overlap (Stallion theme includes built in plugins), but easier to remember if you think theme = what it looks like.
Massive Passive Profits Autoblog Plugin is a WordPress plugin and will work with the vast majority of WordPress themes including Stallion 6. Sounds like you are mixing up themes and plugins. Each site can run one theme, but loads of plugins.

David, the above website was a massive profits website and is no longer active, but I had talian 5.0 installed with it. I now want to install the theme on a new website (cheapestfitnessequipment.org), but I see that I can now get the Stallion upgrade. Please advise how I upgrade.
